Hello

Please join us to celebrate Corrinne!

Welcome to our family's private page where you can go to get updates on Corrinne in one central location.  We are blessed to have a large family, which comes with the challenge of keeping everyone informed. Here you can learn about her health updates, see photos from her latest adventures, and send pictures to share.

The big 90!

Yes, Corrinne is still as full of life and "spicy" as ever.  We hope that the celebration of her 90 years of living her best life will create memories for years to come.

We are having an open house on Saturday April 25th from noon to 6pm where you can stop by for a few minutes or to stay a while.

We will have beverages and light refreshments as well as many stories and tall tales of  her many years of being  a classy, sassy bad ass!

October 2025

Living large on the lower level

Corrinne and Carol are spending their days in their own space in the lower level of Randy and Angie's house.  They have their own kitchen and bathroom as well as an outdoor area where they are able to get some fresh air and enjoy the view of the property.  They sneak snacks to Angie's dog Daisy more often than they probably should, but Daisy is certainly enjoying it!

Health Updates

On Monday October 6th, Corrinne began her journey with an oral version of chemotherapy with the hopes of controlling the cancer that has been detected in both the liver and surrounding lymph nodes. Imaging detected a blood clot in her lungs which is being treated with blood thinners  Carol cares for her and checks her vitals everyday.  We are blessed that Carol is able to be here with us and that Corrinne's health has been doing amazingly well!

UPDATE 10/31/25

Corrinne is currently in her second round of chemotherapy and is feeling some of the side effects commonly experienced by those on a similar journey.  Despite her not feeling as strong as she had been before she began her chemotherapy, she has an "attitude of gratitude" as well as the ability to maintain her spunky sense of humor.  Even though her and Carol love their candy, she is cutting back on the sweet stuff and eating lots of salads and protein shakes.

Update 11/28/25

After her first round of chemotherapy, the PET scan showed growh of the mass in her liver, but no spead to any other areas.  There was some concern that there might be a lesion in her brain, but a follow-up MRI brought us the great news that her brain is not affected by a spread of the tumor.  Her liver function and other tests show that she is doing pretty darn well under the circumstances.  Her doctors all say that she is an excellent patient with a wonderful attitude, a strong faith and will to live her life to the fullest.

Update 12/30/25

The hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is coming to a close and even though we miss Carol while she is spending time in Marble Hill with her family, we have had plenty of good food, great company and family time.

(see pictures below!)

Corrinne is continuing her chemotherapy will just a few side effects.  Based on the test results, her vital signs and other testing discussed during her appointment today, her oncologist has recommended that she continue her chemotherapy with a slightly modified treatment protocol. She is schdeuled for a new CT scan in late January to allow her medical team to help guide her treatment decisions.

Update 12/31/25

We are happy to close out this year with some much needed and eargly anticipated good news.  Corrinne's CA-19-9 blood test results were sent to us this morning and they indicate that her levels have dropped by almost half within the past month.  Even though the results are not conclusive, our hope is that it indicates that all of her hard work, wealthy living, great attitude and constant prayers in conjunction with her chemotherapy have been working.  With things going in the right direction, we are so grateful to be heading into a new year with renewed hope and faith.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Keep them coming!!

Her successes

Corrinne has been exceeding all expectations with her home health program and improving with her ability to get around and enjoy life.  She and Carol visited family in Marble Hill  and enjoyed their ride in Ed's truck to get there. (she only complained about Randy's driving a few times!)  She has been keeping busy making homemade meals and candy.  Now that the Cardinals basesball season is over, we hope that she will have the time to start using her new phone to take and send pictures to her friends and family.

She also gets to spend plenty of time with Angie's dog Daisy, who is a snack-apottamous and has learned that staring at Carol and Corrinne while they eat often ends up with Daisy gettiing table food donations from some of her favorite humans. Daisy likes to sleep in Corrinne's bed and sit in her chair to keep them warm for her.

Please send us pictures of her friends and family via text or email and we will add them to the photo gallery for everyone to see!

Treatment update March 2026

Corrinne is receiving immunotherapy in her next stage of her fight against cancer.  Her first two rounds have gone well and her third round starts on April 10th.

Happy Happenings

Corrinne had no negative side effects on day one of chemotherapy.

She had a surprise visit from our friend Mike and we had a very last-minute get together to celebrate friends and family.
